I've got Spring on my mind

I am just posting a quickie update today. I'm trying to shake off thoughts of staying inside snuggled up all winter and get thinking about spring. Spring means family portrait time. Are you ready? I love to book family portraits for March through the end of May. This way we are able to do them at the location you feel best suits your families style and we don't have to freeze or bake in the great outdoors. Of course we can do in studio portraits too I just love shooting outside and I think most families prefer it too. Having said all of that we are now booking family and child portrait sessions for March, April and May. Book early as my Saturdays go quickly in fact in April I only have the morning of the 27th available for family or child photo sessions. Richmond has so many beautiful locations so lets get out and pick one for your families portraits this year.

Richmond, VA Kids Photography Summer Special

I don't know about you but I am sooo ready for summer to be here. I'm really looking forward to spending days at the river, the beach, the pool, no school and plenty of time with my own kiddo's. Time to finally shed those sweaters and throw on cute summer dresses or shorts and flip flops Yay!. I love summer here in Virginia so much. This year I'm kicking off summer with an awesome Kids Photo Session Special. I am offering, for a limited time, $75 mini photo shoots for kids. We'll hit up your favorite location in the Richmond area and get down to the business of capturing your kids being their wonderful selves. This special is good for up to 2 kids but don't worry you can add additional kiddo's for just $25 per child. Also included in your session fee is 1 8x10 or 2 5x7 (single image) prints. Plus you'll get a specially designed Facebook timeline cover to show off your beautiful crew. Book your session today before spaces fill up. You must book your session by May 30th to get this deal BUT you've got until August 31st to actually do the session. Sessions will take place within the Richmond, VA area and we'll work together to choose the location that best suits your children's personalities and styles.

Family Christmas Sessions

As my family sessions for 2011 come to an end I'm happy to share some of them with you all. This year has been so busy and exciting for me. Ginger Curry Photography has really started to take on a life of it's own and it's been a real pleasure to meet and work with so many families this year. I'm excited for what next year will bring too. I've got so many ideas for session themes that I just can't wait to start sharing.

The first session theme I'll be working on will be the Snow Sessions. This year when we get a good snow I'll be doing family photo shoots. If you'd like to be on the call list please send me an email with your contact information in it saying that you'd like to be added to the snow session list. That way you and your family will get the call when the snow starts falling. Grab a sled, hat and mittens and get ready for a completely unique session. Oh Baby!

My job is fantastic, I'm fortunate in that, but some of the things that I get to call work are just more fun than any one person should get to have at "work". Take newborn sessions for instance. I LOVE babies. If I had a nanny, housekeeper, cook, chauffeur and someone to do my laundry I'd have kept having more babies myself. Since I don't have all of those things the next best thing for me to do is photograph them.  They are all so different and all so perfect. This beautiful newborn girl is no exception. I'm very happy that I got to photograph this sweet little one. Congrats to her lucky mom and dad.
